How to differentiate Danfoss valves?
There are 3 types of Danfoss valves: RA, RAV (=RA/V) and RAVL (=RA/VL).
The easiest way is to measure the outside diameter of your valve with a caliper:
- 23mm = Danfoss RA = RA adapter
- 26mm = Danfoss RAV = RAV adapter
- 34mm = Danfoss RAVL = RAVL adapter
Another less reliable method is to look at the top of the valve:
- the Danfoss RA has a crown
- the Danfoss RAV has a flat hexagonal nut
- the Danfoss RAVL has a rounded hexagon nut
