The BLUMKRAFT range of radiator adaptors
Almost all modern “Smart-home” thermostatic heads are M30 x1.5. Unfortunately, our old radiators very often have other dimensions. That’s why BLUMKRAFT offers you adapters to give your old radiators a new lease of life.
- Giacomini 22,6mm for Giacomini valves
- M28 x1.5 for Comap, Herz, Pettinaroli, TA valves
- M30 extension 20mm for Oventrop Unibox
- M30 x1,0 for Oventrop
- M32 Ista for Ista valves
- M33 for Rossweiner and MAW valves
- M38 for Meges valves
- M38 for Ondal valves
- RA23 for Danfoss RA 20-23mm valves and FAR valves
- RAV34 for Danfoss RAV 34mm valves
- RAVL 26mm for Danfoss RAVL valves
How do I know if this is the right adapter for my radiator valve?
You need to check that the adaptor is designed for both the brand and size of your valve.
Use a calliper to measure the diameter of your valve and estimate the thread pitch. The screw pitch is the translational advance made by the screw during a complete turn. This value is expressed in millimetres. A screw pitch of 1 means that 1mm is required for each complete turn.
The diameter should be measured between the 2 arrows marked “outside diameter”.
To calculate the thread pitch, count the number of turns the thread makes and measure the length:
thread pitch = length in mm / number of turns
Each product data sheet gives the diameter of the adaptor (expressed either in “M” as M28 = 28mm, or directly in mm when there is no screw thread) and the screw thread: check this carefully before buying the adaptor.
